New AccountsFirst-Time CustomersFirst-time customers are C.O.D. If you are seeking an open account, you must follow the instructions below. Since processing may take a few days, please be prepared to pay for your initial order. Please familiarize yourself with our limit of liability. Establishing an AccountAll jobs are C.O.D. unless prior arrangements for open account status have been made through our Accounting Department. To establish an open account, a completed credit application may be submitted to Future Film & Graphics. Credit applications must be signed originals (copies, faxes or e-mailed scans are not acceptable). Your application will be processed within two working days and you will be notified in writing of approval status. Incomplete applications will be returned for further information. Overdue or Overlimit AccountsManagement reserves the right to set credit limits based on credit score. Accounts nearing credit limits may be asked to clear outstanding balances before new orders can be processed. Overdue accounts may be placed on COD until all outstanding balances are paid. Credit TermsTerms are net 30 unless specified otherwise. A discount of 2% may be taken for payments postmarked within 10 days of invoice date. Down PaymentsA down payment may be requested on larger orders to cover materials outlay. Purchase OrdersWe recommend providing Purchase Orders to facilitate the accounting process. On jobs over $500 we require written authorization in the form of a Purchase Order, Job Order, Quote Form with acceptance signature, or via a letter on company stationery. State and Government agencies are on open account provided jobs are submitted with a proper Purchase Order or Requisition Request. COD ShipmentsWork shipped to clients that are not on open account will be COD at time of delivery. We will make arrangements with you prior to shipment for payment amount to have ready. Payment MethodsFuture Film accepts personal or corporate checks, cash or money orders. Payment may also be made by Visa, MasterCard and American Express. Currently we do not take ATM Cards. Resale AccountsBlank California resale certificates are available from our administration office. To set up your account as resale, please submit your completed resale card before your job is completed. We must collect sales tax until we are able to verify your seller's permit number with the Board of Equalization. An acceptable California resale card must contain specific wording for the printing and graphic arts industries. "Printed materials and special printing aids" is the only phrase accepted by the Board of Equalization to describe reselling of prepress materials. Terms such as "film", "scans", and "negatives" are not acceptable to the Board of Equalization. Each line on the resale card must be completed in order to begin the validation process. Purchases for a company's own internal use, such as business stationary, are always considered taxable. If you have any questions regarding resale, please speak with our Office
Manager at (916) 444-9577 ext 16. You may also contact PINC (Printing
Industries of Northern California at www.pinc.org)
for the latest information on California sales and use taxes for the printing
industry. PINC has been working diligently with the State on updating
sales and use tax regulations for the trade. We are greatful for their
work! © 2009 Future Film, A California Corporation |
